This compare and contrast essay provides a thorough look into good and bad example of journalism. Written in 2022, I aimed to inform others on the varying levels of transparency, professionalism, and accuracy in modern media. I researched in-depth about both a Pulitzer Prize-Winning article and a documentary popularized by Twitter to highlight important aspects of each, constructing an argument toward the goals and motivations of news delivery today.

This paper, written in 2021 for the University of Maine Honors College, calls into question the modernity of our society today. By using religious texts, historical documents, and literature, "The Injustice of a Modern Society" compiles information that debates the idea that the modern world isn't as progressive as it seems despite the knowledge and technology we possess.

This essay emphasizes the importance of interpretative theory in reality and the formation of connections between the self and the environment. Combining theories from philosophers such as Gerald Bruns, Gabriele Schwab, Patrocinio Schweickart, and Judith Butler, this paper is meant to provide a basis for looking at interpretative theory as a blueprint for interaction.
